The constant evolution of ceramic materials represents a challenge for ceramic tile installation professionals.

With the arrival of porcelain stoneware, the hardness of the materials became the professional’s greatest concern. Now, with the new production processes, and with the consolidation of porcelain as the most widely used material, as well as the growing presence of large formats or ceramic sheets, the main handicap is the difficulty in cutting ceramic tiles. This difficulty is the result of combining the hardness, thickness, surface finish and possible internal stresses of the material itself.

For the most difficult ceramic materials, RUBI makes the EXTREME range of rollers and rollers available to professionals.

EXTREME rollers and rollers are made of high quality tungsten carbide, with a special titanium carbide coating. Thanks to this coating, RUBI’s EXTREME rollers and rollers suffer less wear during use. But in addition, the EXTREME rollers and rollers, being mounted on a bearing, completely eliminate the friction of the roller itself with the roller axis. This combination allows the performance of the EXTREME roller to be far superior to the rest, offering smooth scratching and a life of 300%, compared to SILVER rollers and rollers under the same conditions of use.

The EXTREME range of rollers and rollers are specially designed and recommended for scratching ceramic materials with smooth and structured surface finishes (textures or reliefs).

EXTREME rollers are compatible with the RUBI cutter ranges: TS-MAX, TR-MAGNET and SPEED-MAGNET in their 10 mm caliber version and with the TZ and TX-MAX ranges in the 12 mm caliber version. In addition, the RUBI EXTREME roller is compatible with the TQ, TP-T and TP-S manual cutters, as well as with the SLIM CUTTER manual cutting system for ceramic sheets from the SLAB SYSTEM product range.
